Coe Design Landscape Architecture

What Coe Design Landscape Architecture does

Coe Design Landscape Architecture is a privately held professional landscape architecture consultancy headquartered in Weymouth, England, and directed by Jennifer Coe. The practice delivers end-to-end landscape architecture services including site analysis, concept and detailed design, planting design, and project delivery across residential, public realm, educational, cultural, heritage, hospitality, and diplomatic project types. Its technical specializations include GLVIA3-compliant Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Landscape Visual Assessments (LVA) for planning applications, climate-adapted planting design spanning UK temperate and Middle East arid conditions, biodiversity and grassland management (including a 10-acre West Dorset AONB project), edible landscapes for schools, and heritage restoration work on listed buildings such as the Grade II* Great Yarmouth Winter Gardens.

The firm's revenue model is project-based professional services, with fees individually negotiated rather than publicly disclosed. Go-to-market is sales-led and primarily dependent on three channels: long-standing collaborative relationships with UK architectural practices (Burrell Foley Fischer, Wilkinson Eyre, Design Engine, Architype, Alsop and Störmer, Penoyre & Prasad, Haworth Tompkins, John Pardey, and others), design competition wins, and direct commissions from public bodies and private clients. Geographic reach spans the UK (with concentration in Southwest England, London, and the Channel Islands) and international markets including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Yemen, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Thailand, and Portugal. Notable client work includes landscape designs for the IKEA Museum in Sweden, the British Embassy in Sana'a, Misk Schools in the Middle East, Chiva-Som Spa in Thailand and Portugal, and multiple award-winning UK schools achieving BREEAM Excellent and Passivhaus certifications.
