SANS SOUCIE ART GLASS

What SANS SOUCIE ART GLASS does

Sans Soucie Art Glass Studios, Inc. is a privately held custom decorative glass manufacturer founded in 1976 and based in Palm Desert, California. The company produces handcrafted sandblast-etched, carved, and airbrush-painted glass products across a broad catalog that includes front doors, interior and specialty doors, door glass inserts, frameless all-glass doors, sliding barn doors, windows, showers, partitions, tables, backsplashes, countertops, edge-lit glass, fireplace screens, gates, handrails, mirrors, sculptures, signs, shelves, table bases, and wall art, as well as traditional stained and beveled glass.

The core technology is proprietary sandblast etching and carving using a high-pressure abrasive stream to produce a permanent frosted finish, organized into effect tiers (1D surface etch, 2D shaded, 3D carved, 3D Enhanced deep relief, and 3D Enhanced Painted with translucent glass dye), complemented by the Gluechip background process. A library of 388+ copyrighted original designs underpins the offering. All work is assembled in-house by skilled artisans; products are made to order and never machine made.

The business model is direct-to-consumer e-commerce through sanssoucie.com with custom online quote requests, supplemented by an enterprise field sales channel ([email protected]) serving architects, design firms, and commercial property developers. Pricing is unit-based and varies by effect tier, privacy level, and finish, ranging from roughly $1,700-$1,900 for entry-level 1D designs to $5,000-$6,000+ for premium 3D Enhanced and Painted pieces. Marketing channels center on the company's own storefront, the Houzz Pro platform (12 consecutive years of badges from 2014-2025), blog content, and 567+ customer reviews. Customer segments are primarily residential homeowners, with secondary commercial and government clients, and operations span the United States with select international projects.
