LA Kings Iceland

What LA Kings Iceland does

LA Kings Iceland at Paramount is a community ice rink and youth hockey facility located in Paramount, California, operating as one of six sheets within the LA Kings Ice network across Southern California. The facility is owned and operated within the AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group) portfolio alongside the LA Kings NHL franchise, and was founded in 1940. It serves three primary customer segments: general public recreational skaters through public-skating sessions, beginner skaters enrolled in Learn to Skate programs, and youth hockey organizations — California Heat Youth Hockey is a named tenant user — through structured hockey programming.

The facility operates on a physical-asset revenue model: public-skating admission fees, Learn to Skate lesson registrations, and youth hockey program/tournament ice rentals. Program registration and member management are run on the SportsEngine SRM platform, and the broader AEG technology stack now includes a Twilio communications partnership announced in January 2026. Community impact and sponsorship activity is channeled through the Kings Care Foundation, including a Crypto.com-backed $1M donation to After-School All-Stars announced in March 2026.

As a private, subsidiary-level operation within a larger conglomerate, LA Kings Iceland does not disclose standalone financials; it has between 11 and 50 employees. The site currently displays an "Ice Rink Closure Announcement" on its public website, and tenant organization California Heat is actively lobbying to preserve the facility, indicating an active threat to continued operations at this location despite stability within the broader LA Kings Ice network.
