Garden Community Church

What Garden Community Church does

Garden Community Church is a non-denominational Bible church headquartered in Moundridge, Kansas, with a secondary administrative office in Hesston. The church serves individuals and families across the Hesston-Moundridge-Halstead-Newton corridor, offering a portfolio of age-segmented ministry programs including nursery care, Sunday School classes for all ages, a Garden Kids Wednesday program for children ages 3 through 6th grade, a youth group for 7th-12th graders, and adult ministries comprising Life Groups, a Wednesday prayer gathering, and 13-week GriefShare and DivorceCare support seminars. The organization is staffed by a Senior Pastor and a Secretary, supported by an implicit volunteer base, and is currently recruiting a Multi-generational Care Pastor.

The church's underlying technology is minimal: a standard informational website serves as the primary digital presence, while a YouTube channel (@GardenCommunityChurch) live-streams and archives worship services with recordings dating back to August 2023. There are no proprietary platforms, mobile applications, or integrated digital tools. Distribution operates through a hybrid in-person and online model, with Sunday services held at 10:15 AM and Wednesday evening programming at the Moundridge facility.

Garden Community Church operates as a 501(c)-style non-profit religious organization funded entirely by voluntary tithes and offerings from congregation members. All programs and services are offered free of charge. GTM motion is community-led, relying on word-of-mouth, geographic reputation, and passive digital discovery through search and YouTube. There is no external ownership, no institutional investors, and no disclosed revenue or financial metrics. The current Senior Pastor, Dizzy Murphy, joined in July 2024 following a 25-year Air Force career and completion of a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.
