International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres

What International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres does

International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres (ISYVC) is a private, nonprofit spiritual and educational organization founded by Swami Vishnudevananda and operated under the karma yoga (selfless service) model. It runs a global network of 11 ashrams and 9+ city yoga centres across North America, Europe, South America, Asia and the Middle East, plus 15+ affiliated licensed centres, teaching classical Hatha and Raja Yoga integrated with Vedanta philosophy through the codified Five Points of Yoga (asana, pranayama, savasana, vegetarian diet, positive thinking/meditation) and Four Paths framework.

Its core products are residential four-week Yoga Teacher Training Courses (TTC), advanced TTC and Sadhana Intensive programs, year-round yoga vacations and retreats, city-centre ongoing classes, Ayurveda and Panchakarma wellness services, kids' and teens' camps, corporate wellness retreats, and the "Serve All" charitable program. The curriculum is delivered through licensed ashrams and digital channels including the Sivananda Yoga App and Digital Ashram online platform, supplemented by long-form publications (Yoga Life Magazine, German-language books with cumulative sales above 400,000 copies since 2010/2018).

The organization monetizes primarily through fee-for-service program tuition and accommodation (TTC programs priced from approximately EUR 2,671 in Europe to EUR 3,100+ in India, retreat daily rates from EUR 115, Lithuania trial membership EUR 60/30 days), donations to registered 501c3 entities, and publication/merchandise sales. Go-to-market relies on word-of-mouth and referral from 53,000+ TTC alumni, content marketing via multilingual regional websites, weekly international satsangs, the Google Arts & Culture partnership, and a community-led karma yoga volunteer model rather than paid performance marketing.
