Federación Argentina de Hockey sobre Hielo

What Federación Argentina de Hockey sobre Hielo does

The Federación Argentina de Hockey sobre Hielo is the national governing body for ice hockey in Argentina, headquartered in Buenos Aires and founded in 2010. The organization operates as a sports federation conducting tournaments and overseeing the sport domestically, serving Argentine ice hockey clubs, players, coaches, and officials. Its website is fahh.com.ar, and the entity reports a headcount range of 101–250.

No substantive operational, financial, product, or technology information was available from the source data. The federation's website returned only a verification/loading page, and no products, services, pricing, partnerships, awards, leadership team, funding history, or strategic actions are documented in the provided records. As a national sports federation, its revenue model is typically built on member-club dues, tournament registration fees, sponsorships, government grants, and federation-related merchandise, but none of these revenue mechanics are confirmed in the input.

The organization's firmographic record also lists it as "for_profit," which is inconsistent with the typical non-profit/association structure of national sports federations; this classification is not validated by the underlying source. Geographic scope appears limited to Argentina, with no evidence of international operations beyond the implicit affiliation with the IIHF. Overall, the available evidence supports only a baseline functional description of the entity, and any deeper claims regarding business model, technology stack, or competitive position would be speculative.

Direct peers

• Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (German Ice Hockey Federation): Germany's national ice hockey federation, organizing domestic leagues and national teams. Functionally comparable as a European national federation within the IIHF system.
• Federación Española de Hockey sobre Hielo: Spain's national ice hockey federation. A particularly relevant peer given the comparable non-traditional hockey market profile (warmer climate, smaller player base) and IIHF national federation structure.
• USA Hockey: National governing body for ice hockey in the United States and a direct functional peer as a federation organizing leagues, tournaments, and national team programs for amateur and competitive ice hockey.
• Hockey Canada: Canada's national ice hockey federation and member of the IIHF, comparable to FAHH as a national federation administering amateur and competitive ice hockey, including tournament operations and member clubs.
• Swedish Ice Hockey Association (Svenska Ishockeyförbundet): Sweden's national ice hockey federation and IIHF member; directly comparable as a national federation running leagues, national teams, and member club development.
• Finnish Ice Hockey Association: Finland's national ice hockey federation with full IIHF membership; directly comparable federation model running competitive leagues, national teams, and grassroots development programs.

Broad incumbents

• International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF): The global governing body for ice hockey, of which FAHH is a national member. Comparable as the apex federation structure, though operating at international rather than national level.

Regional players

• Confederación Argentina de Hockey (field hockey): Argentina's national field hockey federation. Comparable as a fellow Argentine national sport federation operating in the same geographic market, sharing similar member-club dynamics and local sponsorship landscape, though in a much larger sport.
