The institute offers seven three-year diploma programs — Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, Automobile Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning — with a combined annual intake of 570 students. It holds AICTE approval, MSBTE affiliation, Government of Maharashtra recognition, and NBA accreditation for six of its engineering departments.

The institute's operations are built around MSBTE-prescribed curricula delivered through well-equipped laboratories, an ERP-based student portal (erp.aissms.org), a VLab virtual laboratory platform, and an organized Training & Placement cell. Students are admitted primarily through the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra centralized counseling process, with the institute filling Institute Level Quota and vacant seats directly. The published AY 2025-26 fee is Rs. 1,00,901 per student (Rs. 89,294 tuition + Rs. 11,607 development), with government scholarships available for eligible candidates.

The institute operates a single campus on Kennedy Road in central Pune, with ~62 staff supporting the student body. It is not listed on any stock exchange, has no private equity or venture capital involvement, and functions as a society-run educational nonprofit within Maharashtra's regulated technical education framework.
