Aqua Angels

What Aqua Angels does

Aqua Angels is a Czech Republic-based direct-to-consumer premium glacier water delivery service operating from Hovorčovice under the aqua-angels.cz domain. Its core proposition is the sale and recurring delivery of 11.3L returnable glass barrels of glacier water to households and offices, complemented by 6x 0.75L glass bottles for dining and culinary use. The company has organized its offering into an integrated ecosystem of consumables, hardware, and accessories: the glass barrel is the anchor SKU, with dispensing options including a touch pump for room-temperature water and the proprietary SlimCool dispenser for chilled water, available in Standard and Deluxe finishes across multiple colors.

The SlimCool dispenser incorporates a patented sanitation system that replaces the internal water-contact filter quarterly during a technician visit lasting under five minutes, eliminating the need for chemical cleaning. Supporting accessories include handcrafted wooden stands (spruce or pine from the Šumava region and North Bohemia), sanitizer kits for both the dispenser and the touch pump, and a 500 ml travel bottle for dogs that is gated to existing water subscribers. Pricing is set in Czech Koruna with both VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive tiers, and the catalog is structured around unit pricing plus bundled starter packages that combine 2–3 barrels with either a pump or a SlimCool.

Revenue mechanics combine transactional e-commerce sales through the company's Shoptet-powered online store with a recurring physical delivery and empty-barrel collection service. The company markets directly to consumers via the website, phone (+420 732 138 368), and email ([email protected]), with no disclosed third-party retailers, partnerships, or institutional investors. The operating footprint is confined to the Czech Republic and the team is reported at six employees.

Broad incumbents

• Poděbradka: Major Czech mineral water brand under the Karlovarské minerální vody portfolio. Directly comparable mainstream Czech premium water brand against which Aqua Angels positions its glacier-water glass-barrel offering.
• Britvic: UK-based international beverage company owning multiple bottled water brands across European markets. A broad incumbent in the European bottled water category with the scale and distribution that Aqua Angels lacks.
• Cott Corporation: Global beverage and water delivery platform operating bottled water and water cooler services in multiple geographies. Comparable to Aqua Angels in the home/office water delivery category but at enterprise scale and in different geographies.
• Mattoni 1873 (Karlovarské minerální vody): Dominant Czech bottled water producer (Mattoni, Poděbradka, Bonaqua brands) with national distribution and strong brand recognition. The primary incumbent in Aqua Angels' home market against which the smaller premium niche must compete.

Direct peers

• Aqua Carpatica: Premium natural mineral water brand originating in Romania/Carpathians and sold across Central Europe. Comparable to Aqua Angels on premium glacier/mineral water positioning within the same regional market.
• Mountain Valley Spring Water: US premium spring water delivered in iconic glass bottles to homes and offices. Closest aesthetic and positioning analogue to Aqua Angels' premium glass-container delivery narrative, though operating in the US market.
• Primo Brands (Primo Water): North America's largest water delivery and bottled water company operating exchange-based 5-gallon reusable container delivery. Closest analogue to Aqua Angels' reusable container home/office delivery model, though at vastly larger scale and primarily in the US.
• Culligan International: Global water treatment and bottled water delivery company operating in-office and home water cooler services with recurring delivery. Directly comparable to Aqua Angels' dispenser-plus-delivery subscription model, including sanitization service loops on coolers.
• Eden Springs: European office and home water cooler and bottled water delivery company active across multiple EU countries. Closest geographic and operational peer to Aqua Angels within Europe, sharing the reusable-cooler-plus-recurring-sanitization service model.

Emerging players

• SodaStream International: Home water carbonation and dispensing platform owned by PepsiCo. Competes indirectly by offering at-home still and sparkling water without recurring delivery, threatening the structural value proposition of Aqua Angels' barrel subscription.
