Blue Planet Project (Publishing)

What Blue Planet Project (Publishing) does

Blue Planet Project is a privately-held, self-published book publishing company founded in 1991 and operated by Virginia-based author Gil Carlson. The company publishes a catalog of 42 books revolving around UFO phenomena, extraterrestrial encounters, and U.S. government conspiracy theories, with the core narrative anchored on documents attributed to a government informant named Jefferson Souza. The catalog includes a 294-page trilogy compilation (Blue Planet Project Book, Lost Chapters, and Conspiracy) and standalone titles on topics such as Area 51, Dulce Base, alien races, the Great Reset, 5G, and the 2023 U.S. Congressional UFO Disclosure Hearing. Books are produced primarily as physical spiral-bound or comb-bound manuscripts ranging from approximately 84 to 294 pages, and content is also offered through a 'Wicked Wolf Press' trade name.

The business operates on a direct-to-consumer model with no subscription component. Pricing is structured in three tiers: individual titles at approximately $20-$30 each, half-library bundles of 21 books (with one half priced at $379), and a complete 42-book Library Bundle at $649 (versus up to $1,200 individual retail). Distribution is global and channeled through Amazon, ABE Books (for bundled rare-book collections), and the company's own website, supported by an email newsletter for top-of-funnel engagement. No institutional funding, venture capital, or parent company has been identified; the operation is bootstrapped and self-funded through book sales revenue.

The customer base is long-tail individual consumers, with two primary personas: UFO and conspiracy theory enthusiasts seeking self-education on classified government programs and extraterrestrial topics, and alternative history researchers. The company is associated with Dante Santori via a translation partnership for the Russian 'Book of Alien Races' source document. There is no mobile app, no software product, no AI capability, and no disclosed headcount beyond the founder.
