What Romancing The Wind Llc does

Romancing The Wind LLC, doing business as Sailing RTW, operates a fleet of private luxury yacht charters based at Cabrillo Isle Marina in San Diego, California. The company's flagship vessel, SV Romancing the Wind, is a 60-foot custom-built all-steel ketch originally built in 1985 by master boat builder Todd Tarico and is USCG documented and inspected for up to 41 passengers. The broader fleet includes a 58' Hatteras Motor Yacht, a 38' Pursuit Express, and a 30' Element XRT Bowrider, enabling group sizes from 2 to 35 passengers.

The company generates revenue through hourly charter fees ranging from $725 (1-12 passengers) to $950 (31-35 passengers) per hour, with 2-hour weekday minimums and 3-hour Saturday minimums. Pricing includes captain, crew, taxes, port, and marina fees, and all-inclusive bookings. The service portfolio spans yacht charters, party cruises (birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette, sunset, cocktail, happy hour), wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate team building and executive entertaining, swim charters, San Diego Bay tours, and burials at sea (full-body and ash scattering) coordinated with funeral homes and the Global Green Burial Alliance. Catering partnerships with local San Diego restaurants, delis, and caterers provide optional add-on food and beverage services, including a BYO corkage option at $135.

Distribution is direct-to-consumer via the company's website (sailingrtw.com), phone reservations (619-866-2538), and in-person inquiries at the marina headquarters.
