Smeulders Interieurwerken B.v.

What Smeulders Interieurwerken B.v. does

Smeulders Interieurwerken B.v., operating commercially as Smeulders Interieurgroep, is a Dutch bespoke interior fit-out specialist founded in 1962 and headquartered in Nuenen, Netherlands. The company designs, manufactures, and installs custom interior elements — including reception desks, pantries, lockers, lounge furniture, bookshelving systems, acoustic panels, room dividers, and specialty millwork — combining CNC-controlled production with modular and circular design principles that anticipate future reuse and adaptability. Its technical portfolio includes timber-core partition structures with integrated lighting, modular reading tables, and 3D-printed interior elements produced in collaboration with Aectual.

Smeulders serves corporate headquarters, law firms, technology companies, government institutions, universities, luxury retailers, hospitality operators, and high-net-worth residential clients. Named reference projects include Unilever AIR (Rotterdam), DLA Piper (Amsterdam), Palo Alto Networks (Amsterdam), the University of Amsterdam library, the Tweede Kamer (Dutch House of Representatives), the Raad van State, the Vredespaleis, Aalberts Industries, Ogér, Skins, and Pink Gellac, typically delivered in collaboration with premium Dutch architectural firms such as Fokkema & Partners, MVSA, Casper Schwarz Architects, KAAN Architecten, and Cepezed.

The business operates a direct enterprise field-sales model, with project-based bespoke contracts priced individually through a calculator team and pursued via client relationships, architect collaborations, and formal tender procedures for public-sector work. Revenue is earned as one-time project fees covering custom manufacturing and installation. The company is part of the broader Smeulders Interieurgroep group, which includes affiliated entities To Build, Walloop, RTR Interiors, QYUUBS, and IP Poland, providing extended delivery capacity including international project execution. Sustainability credentials — FSC and PEFC certified materials, project-specific BREEAM delivery, and a circular design philosophy — are positioned as a core differentiator in both private and public procurement.
