Estonian Pet Rescue Society MTU 2023

What Estonian Pet Rescue Society MTU 2023 does

MTÜ Estonian Pet Rescue Society is a volunteer-run non-profit association registered in Estonia (registry number 80564142) that rescues stray and abandoned animals — primarily cats — provides veterinary care including parasite treatment, vaccination, microchipping, and sterilization, and arranges permanent adoptions through a formal screening, contract, and national-registry handover process. The organization operates with no paid staff and relies entirely on volunteers for animal care, transportation, photography, fostering, translation, and administrative tasks. It was originally established in 2019 and formalized under the MTÜ (Mittetulundusühing) legal structure in 2023, as indicated by the "MTU 2023" copyright on its website; 99% of its wards are sourced directly from street rescue.

The organization runs a multilingual Google Sites website (Estonian, Russian, English) and processes adoption inquiries through a Google Forms-based questionnaire that screens prospective owners, produces a formal handover contract, and registers the animal to its new owner in the Estonian national pet registry (llr.ee). Animal promotion is handled primarily through organic social channels — Facebook (group and page), Instagram, and YouTube — supplemented by email inquiries and word-of-mouth. No proprietary technology platforms or mobile applications are in use; all tooling is off-the-shelf consumer web services.

EPRS sustains operations exclusively through charitable donations, accepting bank transfers to an LHV account (EE957700771003758756), PayPal donations, phone-linked mobile payments, and online contributions processed via Donationbox.ee and Maksekeskus AS (payment-card processor). It does not sell products or services; all financial inflows are voluntary, and the organization has rehomed more than 100 cats to date. Core partners include Donationbox.ee, Maksekeskus AS, and a network of Estonian veterinary clinics providing subsidized care under GDPR-compliant data-handling practices.

Core offering

Estonian Pet Rescue Society (MTÜ EPRS) is a volunteer-run non-profit organization that rescues stray and abandoned cats in Estonia, provides veterinary care (parasite treatment, vaccination, microchipping, sterilization), and places them in screened permanent homes. Operations are funded entirely through charitable donations and in-kind contributions, with adoption facilitated via an online questionnaire, formal handover contracts, and registration in the Estonian national pet registry.

Product overview

Estonian Pet Rescue Society is a volunteer-run non-profit animal rescue organization operating primarily as a service-based charity rather than a technology product company. The organization offers a coordinated set of animal welfare services centered around pet adoption (matching rescued stray animals with adoptive families), animal rescue and rehabilitation (medical care, vaccination, microchipping, sterilization), and foster care placement. Financial sustainability is supported through charitable donation processing integrated with PayPal, Maksekeskus AS, and Donationbox.ee. Volunteer coordination and adoption application management are facilitated through Google Forms. The portfolio functions as interconnected service offerings rather than a modular software platform.
