country pride services cooperative

What country pride services cooperative does

Country Pride Services Cooperative is a member-owned agricultural cooperative headquartered in Bingham Lake, Minnesota, serving farmers and rural residents of southwest Minnesota since its founding in 2000. The cooperative operates through four service divisions — Agronomy (custom application, crop scouting, soil sampling, precision ag technology), Energy & Fuel (Cenex-branded gasoline and diesel, propane, lubricants, biodiesel with One Call and Constant Fill bulk delivery), Home Improvement (hardware, lumber, plumbing, heating supplies sold as a TrueValue dealer), and Cardtrol 24/7 unmanned fueling — across three physical locations including a Mountain Lake site. Technology infrastructure is built on third-party platforms: Cenex supplies refined fuels and warranty programs (Total Protection Plan), TrueValue provides retail supply chain, and AgVantage powers the customer portal and credit account management. The SMS order-status notification program went live September 1, 2024.

The cooperative makes money through a diversified mix of service revenue (agronomy), hardware/fuel retail sales, recurring delivery and budget-billing programs, and member patronage refunds that recycle earnings back to member-owners rather than external shareholders. Customer acquisition is direct-to-consumer via physical locations, community presence, and word-of-mouth in a tightly defined southwest Minnesota geography; digital touchpoints include the AgVantage portal and online credit applications. Customer segments are split between farmers and agricultural producers (primary) and rural homeowners needing home improvement supplies. The reported firmographic headcount of 1-10 employees appears inconsistent with three retail locations and active delivery operations, suggesting the cooperative relies heavily on member labor or the figure is undercounted. No revenue, funding, M&A, or leadership information is publicly disclosed.
