What westbrook school district does

EducationBug.org is a privately held online education directory and resource portal founded in April 2006 and operated by a small team in southern Utah near Las Vegas. The platform aggregates structured profile data on K-12 public schools, private schools, school districts, colleges, public libraries, and education jobs across all 50 U.S. states plus Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, with integrated Google Maps for location-based discovery. Beyond the directory, the site publishes an extensive library of educational articles for parents, students, adult learners, homeschoolers, and educators, and operates a blog directory that accepts submissions in exchange for reciprocal links.

The underlying technology is a content-and-directory web platform with state-level subdomains (e.g., connecticut.educationbug.org, california.educationbug.org) optimized for organic search traffic. Job postings are free for employers, and directory listings are free for institutions that place a reciprocal link — there is no paid tier, no API, and no mobile app. The company's stated long-term intent is to introduce advertising once sufficient traffic is established, but no revenue, funding, or institutional investors are disclosed in available sources.

The business model is therefore best characterized as a pre-monetization traffic-building play in the education vertical, serving a horizontal audience of parents, students, and educators seeking free, centralized information about U.S. educational institutions and resources.
