What ants s.r.o. does

ANTS s.r.o. is a Slovak automotive aftermarket company headquartered in Komárno that sells and installs towbars and sells, repairs, and rents trailers. The business originated as a sole proprietorship (živnosť) founded by Ladislav Lukács in the early 1990s and was incorporated as ANTS s.r.o. in 2014; it has been operating in the towbar and trailer industry for over 30 years and reports more than 10,000 towbars installed to date. The company is founder-owned and bootstrapped, with no disclosed external investors, parent company, or institutional backing.

The company operates two physical sites in Komárno — a main showroom and workshop at Veľký Harčáš 5 (housing the outdoor trailer display area and installation facility) and a trailer rental depot at Nová Osada 5 — supplemented by the naprives.sk e-commerce store launched in 2016 for parts and accessories. The product set spans towbar installation (fixed screw, removable bayonet, and removable vertical mounting systems from suppliers AUTOHAK and GALIA), electrical installations (7-pole, 13/8-pole, and 13-pole configurations), trailer sales from a multi-brand portfolio (Bán, Unikol, Agados, Vezeko, CBS, Wiola, Boro), bicycle carriers and roof boxes (Thule, Yakima, Buzz Rack Westfalia, Bosal), spare parts and accessories, and warranty/post-warranty repair services.

Revenue is generated through four streams: one-time product sales (trailers, towing equipment, accessories), professional installation services, repair services, and usage-based rental of trailers and bicycle/roof equipment. The customer base consists of individual consumers needing occasional cargo transport and small commercial buyers with recurring transport needs, served via a sales-led go-to-market combining walk-in showroom traffic, phone/email inquiry, and the naprives.sk online store. Operations are confined to Slovakia, with no disclosed cross-border expansion.
