Descriptiontext

Ruder Finn is one of the world's largest independent global communications agencies, founded in 1948 by Bill Ruder and David Finn and headquartered in New York. Privately held and family-controlled (CEO Kathy Bloomgarden since 2014), the firm serves Fortune 500 clients across five core verticals — Healthcare, Technology, Consumer Brand, Leadership, and Workplace — augmented by Stakeholder Relations/Investor Relations following the 2026 acquisition of The Equity Group. Operations span four continents with regional headquarters in London, Shanghai, and Dubai, and 26+ offices across Asia Pacific.

The firm operates a platform-plus-modules architecture built around proprietary AI tooling. rf.TechLab houses 20+ engineers developing custom AI tools (RAG, semantic search, agentic workflows, synthetic media); rf.aio monitors and optimizes brand mentions across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama; RF Studio53 delivers AI-powered creative production; rf.Voices and rf.StoryLab productize influencer marketing and synthetic-media storytelling. AI solutions are integrated across 88% of core U.S. accounts (target 95% by Q3), supported by an AI Advisory Council chaired by former OpenAI Head of Go-to-Market Zack Kass. Capability depth has been augmented by 15+ acquisitions since 2016, including Peppercomm, Touchdown, Flightpath, Big Sky Communications, Missouri Creative, and The Equity Group.

The revenue model is professional services — custom-quoted, multi-year enterprise retainers and project fees — delivered through dedicated account teams and wholly-owned agency subsidiaries. Go-to-market is enterprise field sales targeting large global organizations across healthcare, technology, consumer goods, financial services, and energy/utilities. Reported FY2024 revenue was $203 million (7.2% YoY growth), ranking #5 on O'Dwyer's PR rankings and #2 on Observer's PR Power List. Customer logos include AstraZeneca, Sanofi, AMD, Coca-Cola, Disney, Netflix, PepsiCo, J.P. Morgan Payments, and Snowflake, with industry-low 13% employee turnover and 97% engagement supporting workforce stability for sustained delivery.
