Rishikesh Yog Peeth

What Rishikesh Yog Peeth does

Rishikesh Yog Peeth (legal name: Rishikesh Yogpeeth, DBA: Abhayaranya Yoga Ashram) is a privately held yoga school founded in 2005 by Digamber Nautiyal and Roshan Singh Kukreti in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. The company delivers residential yoga teacher training courses (200-hour, 300-hour, and 500-hour programs) leading to Yoga Alliance RYT 200 and RYT 500 certifications, alongside short-duration yoga and Ayurvedic detox retreats of 3, 7, and 14 days. All programs are conducted at the Abhayaranya Yoga Ashram, a mountain residential facility in the Himalayan foothills above Patna village, accessible only by a 20-30 minute hike. The school operates a gurukul-style model with 6-7 resident teachers per batch, an in-house Ayurvedic doctor, small batch sizes, and an all-inclusive residential fee structure covering accommodation, vegetarian meals, course materials, and excursions.

The company generates revenue through one-time program fees ranging from USD 400 (3-day yoga retreat) to USD 5,670 (500-hour YTT, private room), with a dual-credential model combining Yoga Alliance registration (RYS 200/300/500) and a Memorandum of Understanding with Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University enabling issuance of Government of India-recognized yoga certificates. Distribution is direct-to-consumer via the company website and WhatsApp coordination, with no intermediaries. The customer base is overwhelmingly individual Western wellness seekers (80%+ from USA, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, and Netherlands) seeking internationally recognized certification and immersive authentic yoga education, supplemented by wellness tourists on short retreats. The company reports 20,000+ students trained from 120+ countries, 1000+ 5-star reviews, and a 95%+ return rate, and maintains a post-graduation community platform called Yoga Bodhi and a volunteer program (Nishkam) for ex-students.

A second ashram in Goa is planned for 2027, and an Italy representative office is already operational, signaling geographic and product-line expansion. The company is founder-owned, has no disclosed institutional funding or parent company, and operates at a 101-250 employee scale.
