What Artisan Custom Closets does
Artisan Custom Closets, founded in 2011 and headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, designs, manufactures, and installs custom storage systems for residential and commercial customers across the Southeast United States. The company's core product line spans walk-in closets, reach-in closets, pantries, garages, laundry rooms, mudrooms, home offices, kids' closets, craft rooms, wall beds (Murphy beds), and built-in living spaces, supported by an in-house manufacturing facility in Marietta using screen-to-machine technology and ACSP-certified design consultants. A standardized sales process — free in-home consultation, 3D design preview, custom manufacturing, and typically single-day professional installation — anchors the customer experience, complemented by in-house painting services and add-on accessories such as lighting and closet organizers.
The company operates a sales-led, direct-to-consumer go-to-market motion with three company-owned showrooms in Marietta, Fayetteville, and Lake Oconee (Georgia), and serves a secondary B2B channel of custom home builders across Atlanta, Nashville, and Greensboro. Pricing is quote-based per project, with revenue recognized as one-time sales. Following a February 2023 majority equity investment from Atlanta-based private equity firm Georgia Oak Partners, Artisan acquired Carolina Closets and Spacemakers Closets in June 2023 to consolidate the Southeast custom storage market, expanding its showroom footprint, manufacturing capacity, and customer base under a multi-brand holding structure. The company employs 51-100 people and reports a 4.9/5 Google Reviews rating across 200+ reviews.
