Emerging players

• Combat Krav Maga Israel: Israel-based Krav Maga school focused on defensive tactics and tactical training with narrower instructor/civilian training offerings than IKMF. Overlaps with IKMF's military and law-enforcement segments but with a smaller geographic footprint.

Direct peers

• Krav Maga Association of America (KMAA): US-based Krav Maga association running instructor certification and school-affiliation programs similar to IKMF's CIC and grading structure. Directly competes for American students, instructors, and school owners.
• Krav Maga Global (KMG): Founded by Eyal Yanilov, a direct protégé of Imi Lichtenfeld, KMG operates a global instructor certification network with comparable vertical segmentation (civilian, kids, law enforcement, military). Competes with IKMF for premium Israeli-lineage authenticity and instructor pipeline.
• Krav Maga Worldwide (KMW): One of the largest and most established Krav Maga organizations globally, offering parallel instructor certification across civilian, law enforcement, and military segments. Directly competes with IKMF for the same instructor-pool and course-attendee market, especially in the US and Europe.
• Israeli Krav Maga Institute (KMI): Israel-headquartered Krav Maga training provider with both civilian and tactical curricula. Competes in the same Israeli-origin, multi-segment, instructor-training category as IKMF, with overlap in military and law-enforcement vertical positioning.
• Fédération Européenne de Krav Maga (FEKM) / European Krav Maga Federation: Federation-organization peer offering instructor certifications across European countries with similar curriculum, grading, and segment structure. Overlaps IKMF in several European markets (Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Greece) and competes for national-organization affiliations.

Broad incumbents

• American Taekwondo Association (ATA): One of the largest US martial-arts organizations running a school-licensing, instructor-certification, and event model across thousands of independently owned schools. Comparable federation-style, multi-vertical, school-affiliation business model to IKMF, though in taekwondo rather than Krav Maga.
• Gracie University: Largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu certification and digital-training platform globally, with a structured belt curriculum, instructor certification, and the Gracie University Online program. Comparable operating model (instructor certification plus online curriculum distribution) and a reference point for how a federation-style martial-arts brand can scale digitally.
