The Medalist Golf Club

What The Medalist Golf Club does

The Medalist Golf Club is a private golf club and event venue located in Marshall, Michigan. Its core business centers on operating a golf course that serves members, daily-fee players, and private event clients, with weddings and special events called out explicitly in the company's short description. The facility is positioned as a tournament-grade venue: in 2026 it began hosting the Epson Tour FireKeepers Casino Championship, taking over the event after 12 summers at Battle Creek Country Club. The club's primary customer segments are professional and aspiring professional golfers competing on the Epson Tour's developmental circuit, and golf spectators attending live tournament play. The Medalist partners with FireKeepers Casino Hotel as the tournament's title sponsor, with FireKeepers' representative Jim Wise noting record attendance at the inaugural 2026 event; the winner, Lauryn Nguyen, earned $30,000 from a $300,000 total purse.

Revenue mechanics for the club were not disclosed in the available data. The firmographic profile indicates a private, for-profit company with 11–50 employees, a single Michigan location, and no public listing. Beyond golf operations and weddings, the club's emerging revenue and reputational lever is professional tournament hosting, which carries sponsorship, hospitality, and spectator-driven economics distinct from traditional golf and events revenue. Ownership structure, financial metrics, membership pricing, and detailed product or service offerings are not present in the source material. The club's technology footprint is also not documented; the public website returned no functional content beyond a loading placeholder, leaving platform, booking, or back-office systems uncharacterized.
