What Galgorm Castle does

Galgorm Castle is a private luxury golf and spa resort located in Galgorm, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, founded in 1993 and operating as part of the broader Galgorm Collection. The core asset is a championship par-72 parkland Castle Course that has hosted major DP World Tour events including the Irish Open (2020) and the World Invitational (2019, 2021–23) alongside LPGA Tour play, positioning the venue as Northern Ireland's premier tournament destination. The resort operates an integrated hospitality offering across accommodation (Deluxe Rooms, Suites, Shepherd's Huts, Residences, Cottage Suites, Log Cabins, and Forest Dens), an award-winning Thermal Village spa complex, seven on-site food and beverage outlets (Fratelli, Castle Kitchen + Bar, The Barn, Gillies Restaurant, Cocktail + Gin Bar, McKendry's, Mulberry Garden), wedding and event facilities, and a Golf Academy equipped with Toptracer Range technology and the Dave Pelz Short Game School.

The revenue model is multi-stream and largely transactional, combining recurring annual golf memberships with per-visit spend across green fees, accommodation bookings, spa treatments and day-spa packages, dining, weddings, corporate events, and a growing portfolio of paid activities (padel, falconry, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, cycling). Pricing is opaque for most offerings — Sunday Lunch at Gillies is publicly listed at £33.95 (2 courses) / £37.95 (3 courses) — while accommodation, spa, golf, and event packages are quoted on request, supporting a yield-managed, high-AOV leisure model. Distribution is direct-to-consumer via the galgorm.com website, mobile apps (iOS/Android), phone and email reservations, BRS Golf tee-time booking, physical gift vouchers, and an on-site enterprise sales team for weddings, meetings, conferences, and gala dinners.

The target customer base spans affluent leisure travelers, golf tourists (often combining play at nearby Royal Portrush, Royal County Down, Portstewart, and Castlerock), wedding parties, corporate groups, and wellness seekers. Brand recognition is reinforced by the World Golf Awards designation as Northern Ireland's Best Golf Hotel, AA Red Inspectors and AA Spa recognition, Green Tourism and Green Meetings Gold certifications, and inclusion in the Sunday Times best hotels list (2024) and the Elegant Hotel Collection. Sister properties within the Galgorm Collection — Rabbit Hotel, The Old Inn, Roe Valley Resort, Parisien, and Fratelli — extend the group's Northern Ireland hospitality footprint.
