What Audio Wireless does
Audio Wireless LTD is a UK-based designer and manufacturer of radio microphone systems and RF antenna distribution products for professional broadcast, ENG (electronic news gathering), film production, and location sound recording. The company was founded in 2009/2011 by Aldo Hakligil, a veteran of 26 years at Audio Engineering (manufacturer of the Micron wireless mic range), and operates from Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, where products are designed, manufactured, and tested. Its core product portfolio includes the AD224, AD224-P, and DA224-MB antenna distribution systems, the AC224 2-Zone antenna combiner, the DADM226 digitally tuned distribution module, a trio of LPDA antennas (Passive, Diversity, Active), miniature receivers and transmitters with frequency-switching bandwidths spanning 470-1260 MHz, and an RF distribution unit capable of feeding up to six diversity receivers from a single antenna input.
The business operates a hardware sales model, with products priced from £425 and distributed through a direct online store alongside an international network of more than 25 country distributors spanning Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. The company serves primary customer segments of professional sound recordists, ENG crews, and broadcasters, with secondary reach into film production workflows. Marketing is conducted through organic social (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), earned media in industry publications (PSN Europe, TVB Europe, Audio Media International), and trade show presence at IBC in Amsterdam (exhibited 2011, 2012, 2017). Revenue, headcount, and funding data are not publicly disclosed; the firm is privately held with no institutional investment or parent company indicated, and operates with a small specialist team of 11-50 employees.
