What TRASBO does

TRASBO A/S is a privately held Danish facility services and commercial laundry company headquartered in Skibby (Jernager 9), founded in 1970 and family-owned by Managing Director Birgitte Trasbo, who took sole ownership in 2010. The company operates two integrated service lines: (1) Facility Services — commercial cleaning, window washing up to 40 meters height using chemical-free pure water systems, mat rental/washing with 100% recycled water, and laundry/dry cleaning delivered to businesses across Sjælland and Bornholm; and (2) Laundry Service for municipalities — pickup-and-delivery washing of clothing for authorized home-dwelling citizens and care-home residents under the fritvalgsordning (free-choice scheme) across 19+ municipalities including Frederikssund, Holbæk, Brøndby, Albertslund, Egedal, Roskilde, Gladsaxe, Lyngby-Taarbæk, Frederiksberg, Sorø, and Greve. The company's underlying technology centers on NIR-certified (Statens Serum Institut) hospital-level hygiene processes, Certifikat nr 130 from Teknologisk Institut covering hygiene/quality/environment/work environment, Servicenormen compliance audited by DNV, and continuous oversight by Norske Vaskeriers Kvalitetstilsyn, where TRASBO ranked No. 1 in Denmark for 2024.

The business model is overwhelmingly recurring: long-duration municipal managed-service contracts (some exceeding 10 years), subscription-style facility service agreements with businesses consolidated into a single invoice and single point of contact, and a long tail of private retail laundry customers served through a Skibby storefront plus route delivery. TRASBO also operates a Frederikssund-only private home cleaning service and a complementary infection-prevention cleaning offering. Distribution is route-based via a fleet of 83+ vehicles with uniformed drivers on fixed weekly schedules. Customer acquisition relies primarily on word-of-mouth recommendations and direct outreach by operations managers (driftschefer), augmented by organic social (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), Trustpilot reviews, local press, ESG/sustainability content, and active tendering for municipal contracts. The company is a member of SBA and Dansk Industri (DI), has subscribed to DI's Diversity Pledge, and participates in the BELONG national inclusion project; it has held AAA credit rating from Bisnode/Dun & Bradstreet for four consecutive years (2023–2026) and reached 130+ employees across 17 nationalities by 2025, with no external institutional investors or parent company.
