What Flatpack Films does
Flatpack Films is a privately held, Budapest-based B2B film production services company that provides full-service production support to international brands, advertising agencies, and production companies filming in Hungary and, increasingly, neighboring Central European countries. The company's core offering covers commercials, music videos, feature films, and behind-the-scenes content, with service components that include location scouting, casting, technical counseling, crew provision, logistics coordination, on-set facilitation, and tax rebate process handling for international co-productions.
Its underlying capability is built on a curated, proprietary-feeling location database organized into three branded verticals — Mother Nature (forests, lakes, mountains across Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia), Industrial Treasures (factories, metro stations, power plants), and Urban Adventures (Budapest's historical buildings and cityscapes) — combined with a network of skilled local crews experienced on international productions. The business model is project-based professional services: bespoke, quote-priced engagements with no public pricing tiers, delivered through direct enterprise sales and recurring partnerships with a roster of international production houses (Itchy & Scratch Pictures, FM Films, Czar Films Germany, Keystone Films France, You Are Here Productions UK, Dokuwa Japan).
The customer base spans globally recognized enterprise brands across automotive (Toyota, Kia, Hyundai), consumer electronics (Samsung, Canon), consumer goods (Braun, Samsonite), luxury (Lanvin), spirits (Chivas Regal), and streaming (Netflix), with marketing driven by a portfolio-style website, industry blog content, and a monthly newsletter. The company is led by Executive Producer Zita Kisgergely with a six-person team and operates without disclosed external funding, M&A activity, or AI/ML technology components.
