What Metall Design Studio does
Metall Design Studio is a privately-held creative design studio founded in 2011 and headquartered in Reykjavík, Iceland, operating from Bolholt 4, 105. The firm self-positions as "a design studio run like a metal band," signaling a brand-led, unconventional creative identity. Its public surface is limited to a minimal website at metall.co presenting dark and trust page variants with no enumerated service catalog, project portfolio, or pricing detail.
The firm operates with a lean team of approximately 7 employees and maintains a single-studio operating model. The source material does not disclose specific service offerings, technology platforms, target customer segments, named client logos, project case studies, leadership personnel, certifications, or partnership arrangements. There is no disclosed parent company, institutional investor base, subsidiary structure, or capital-raising history. Distribution appears to be direct, mediated primarily through the company website.
The business model is not directly observable from public sources. No pricing models, contract structures, revenue mix, or go-to-market mechanics are documented. Given the boutique scale and absence of any revenue, ARR, or customer-count disclosures, the company operates at a size where a small number of project-based or retainer engagements would constitute the bulk of revenue, but this is an inference rather than a measured fact. From a diligence standpoint, the available data is sufficient to confirm only that Metall is an operating, branded design micro-studio domiciled in Iceland with no external capital structure or scale signals evident.
