Zenit Yoga

What Zenit Yoga does

Zenit Yoga AS is a privately held Norwegian yoga studio and education center founded in 1992 by Lea Loncar, headquartered in Trondheim. The company operates two physical studios in Trondheim — the original Bakklandet location (Nedre Bakklandet 58) housing the Shiva and Shakti halls, and the newer Midtbyen studio "The Cave" (Jomfrugata 18, ~70 sqm) — and runs a multi-format yoga offering spanning drop-in classes, class cards, and recurring memberships across a broad style range (Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Ashtanga, Classical, Restorative, Jivamukti Open, Lunch Yoga, and Quiet/Calm classes). An intro package (399 kr for 14 days of unlimited classes) and a free trial class serve as top-of-funnel acquisition; longer-cycle retention is driven by community, workshops, and a mobile app for iOS and Android.

The business is also a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS) at all levels since 2016 and a YACEP continuing-education provider, operating a structured curriculum of 200-hour, 300-hour, and multiple 100-hour specialization programs (Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Mindfulness), plus a 75-hour interdisciplinary course for healthcare professionals approved by the Norwegian Psychological Association and the Norwegian Nurses Organization. Supplementary revenue streams include corporate yoga (with Trondheim Municipality as a named client), personal guidance/mentoring sessions, an annual Croatia retreat on Iž island, space rental at both studio locations, gift cards, and a "Back in the Ring" outreach program for people in recovery. Technology is non-proprietary and operational: YOGO for booking and membership management, Reepay for card processing, Klarna for installment payments, and Google Analytics for web traffic — there is no AI/ML layer. The company is owned by four co-owner teachers (Lea Loncar, Tina Stormo as daily manager, Guri Sandvik, Kine Bratbak), and operates with a small team (~9 employees) as an independent, externally uncapitalized business.
