Life Attunement

What Life Attunement does

Life Attunement is a Carlsbad, California-based solo practitioner business founded by John St. Claire offering vibrational medicine services through in-person private sessions and weekly Monday Night Sound Meditation group events. The core service is built on a methodology combining sound, crystals, light, and energy principles to address the conscious mind, unconscious mind, and higher self, delivered in a purpose-built, soundproof, EMF-shielded "Soul Spa" facility housing two 7-foot Paiste gongs (described as the largest on the West Coast), 44 sound bowls, and programmable lighting that activates crystals. Private sessions run approximately 2.5 hours each and are booked through the company website; Monday Night Sound Meditation is a recurring weekly event capped at 7 participants at a suggested donation of $40, with payment processed via Zelle and Venmo.

The business model is direct-to-consumer with no intermediaries, no enterprise clients, and no marketplace presence. Marketing relies on the website, free educational PDF downloads on gong biophysics and crystal programming, email list building, video content, and client testimonials. Pricing for private sessions is not publicly disclosed and requires direct booking inquiry, while group sessions operate on a suggested-donation basis. The practice also engages in original research on vibrational medicine, with findings presented at international scientific conferences including the Society for Consciousness Studies and ISSSEEM.

The company operates as an unincorporated sole proprietorship (no legal entity suffix disclosed) with no institutional investment, no parent company, no subsidiaries, and no documented employees beyond the founder. Operating geography is limited to Southern California. The offering is highly dependent on the founder's personal credentials, certifications, and physical presence, making the business effectively a one-person service practice rather than a scalable enterprise.

Broad incumbents

• The NOW Massage: The NOW Massage is a boutique massage therapy brand with multiple U.S. locations focused on relaxation and self-care experiences. It is comparable as a premium experiential wellness services brand with a designed environment, similar to Life Attunement's curated Soul Spa concept, but operating in massage rather than sound healing.
• Massage Heights: Massage Heights is a wellness franchise offering therapeutic massage, skincare, and stretching services. Like Life Attunement, it is a service-based personal wellness practice delivered by individual practitioners, but at franchise scale and across massage modalities rather than sound/vibrational healing.
• Calm: Calm is a leading consumer meditation and mindfulness app offering guided meditations, sleep stories, and wellness content to a broad mass-market audience. It is comparable to Life Attunement as a meditation/wellness brand targeting individuals seeking inner peace and stress reduction, but operates at vastly larger scale via digital delivery rather than in-person sessions.
• Insight Timer: Insight Timer is one of the largest free meditation and sound healing platforms, hosting thousands of teachers offering guided meditations, sound baths, and music for sleep and healing. It is comparable as a marketplace for individual sound healing and meditation practitioners and serves an overlapping customer base seeking vibrational and sound-based wellness content.
• Headspace: Headspace is a major subscription-based mindfulness and meditation platform offering guided content for stress, sleep, and personal development. Like Life Attunement, it targets individuals seeking personal transformation and anxiety reduction, but delivers through a mobile app and B2B partnerships rather than in-person sound healing.
• Restore Hyper Wellness: Restore Hyper Wellness is a national franchise offering cryotherapy, IV drip therapy, infrared sauna, and other wellness services in a clinic setting. It is comparable as an in-person experiential wellness services brand targeting health-conscious consumers, but operates across many modalities and locations rather than specializing in sound healing.
• Ten Percent Happier: Ten Percent Happier is a meditation and mindfulness app targeting skeptical, busy adults seeking practical stress reduction and personal growth. It is comparable to Life Attunement in addressing anxiety, unconscious patterns, and life purpose — the same pain points named in Life Attunement's value proposition — but delivers through a digital subscription model.
• Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa: Hand & Stone is a national massage and facial spa franchise with hundreds of locations. It is comparable as a multi-location, practitioner-delivered personal wellness services business targeting the same stress-reduction and self-care customer, though its modality (massage) and scale differ from Life Attunement's sound healing niche.

Others

• Paiste: Paiste is a Swiss manufacturer of professional gongs and cymbals, including the 7-foot gongs used by Life Attunement. It is comparable as an enabling supplier in the sound healing ecosystem and as a brand with overlapping practitioner and therapeutic-use customer segments, though its core business is musical instruments rather than wellness services.
• Crystal Tones: Crystal Tones is a leading manufacturer and retailer of crystal singing bowls used in sound healing and meditation practices. It is comparable as an adjacent player in the sound healing ecosystem — supplying the type of instruments (44 sound bowls) Life Attunement uses — and shares the same end-customer base of sound healing practitioners and enthusiasts.
