What SITE123 does

SITE123 is a cloud-based freemium website builder platform founded in 2016 and headquartered in Beersheba, Israel. The platform enables non-technical users — primarily small business owners, freelancers, and individuals — to create professional websites without coding or design expertise by selecting from pre-designed layouts and uploading their own content, rather than using traditional drag-and-drop interfaces. The technology stack includes global CDN-distributed hosting, automatic mobile optimization, built-in SEO tools, SSL encryption, and integrations with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

The product portfolio spans a core free website builder, vertical-specific builders (restaurant, photography, music, wedding, events, portfolio, small business), an eCommerce store builder, and a growing set of add-on modules including professional SEO services, business email, appointment scheduling, online course hosting, and digital business cards. An App Market extends functionality through third-party integrations. The company has accumulated what it describes as millions of users and shows daily website creation volumes of 2,000-2,500+ across multiple countries.

Revenue is generated primarily through conversion of free users to paid premium plans priced at $10.8/month (annual, billed upfront at $129.60) or $17/month (quarterly), with optional recurring add-ons for SEO services. Distribution is fully self-serve and product-led through the website, supplemented by a 500+ article Learning Center driving organic SEO acquisition. The company operates with a notably lean team of 1-10 employees and has not disclosed any external funding, suggesting a capital-efficient, cash-flow-funded operating model.
