Follo Håndballklubb

What Follo Håndballklubb does

Follo Håndballklubb (Follo HK) is a Norwegian handball club based in Langhus in the Follo region near Oslo, founded in 2000 (previously known as Follo/Skeidar HK). It operates a multi-tier handball program: the men's Elite team competing in the Elkjøp-ligaen (formerly REMA 1000-ligaen), Norway's top-tier league; a Rekrutt development squad in 2.divisjon and G20; and a Rullestolhåndball (wheelchair handball) program for inclusive sports participation. The club also runs youth initiatives including Håndballcamper (summer camps, including international components) and FollisCamp one-day clinics, and organizes the Follo Cup tournament at its home venue, Stil Arena.

Revenue is generated through two principal streams: ticket and season ticket sales (sold via the woow.no digital platform with monthly subscription options and a 3-month minimum commitment) and sponsorship agreements with a portfolio of local and regional businesses anchored by Sparebank 1 as a major sponsor and STIL Tekstilservice AS as the naming-rights partner for Stil Arena since 2019. Additional commercial partners include Neumann Bygg, Gummiservice, Vinkl, Mizuno (2025), Retura Østfold (2025), Attentus, Østlandets Blad, ABChus, EL-Kontakten AS, USBL, and J&K Barber Shop. The club is governed by a board chaired by Marius Borge and operates with a separate internal media team (Follo Media). Average home attendance rose from 462 in 2023/24 to 747 in 2024/25, and the club recently won promotion to the elite division in 2023/24, finished 11th among 14 teams in 2024/25, and played qualification matches to retain top-tier status. Follo HK is a private non-profit sports organization; financial figures are not publicly disclosed.
