akta.pro is a product of Wokelo Inc. ("Wokelo"), operating as a sub-brand under the name "akta.pro by Wokelo AI" ("akta.pro" or "Akta") at akta.pro. These Terms and Conditions govern self-serve access to the akta.pro API and constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Wokelo Inc. If you have a separate Master Subscription Agreement (MSA) or other written enterprise agreement with Wokelo, that agreement prevails to the extent of any conflict with respect to the services it covers.
These API Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you — whether acting as an individual or on behalf of an entity ("you" or "Developer") — and Wokelo Inc., operating the akta.pro API under the sub-brand "akta.pro by Wokelo AI" ("akta.pro," "Akta," "Wokelo," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the akta.pro application programming interface, associated developer tools, documentation, SDKs, and related services (collectively, the "API" or "API Services"). akta.pro is a product of Wokelo Inc., registered in Washington, United States, with its registered office at 92 Lenora Street, PMB 195, Seattle, WA 98121.
By accessing the API or purchasing credits, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity.
If you do not agree with all of these Terms and Conditions, then you are expressly prohibited from using the API and you must discontinue use immediately.
If you have a separate Master Subscription Agreement (MSA) or other written agreement with Wokelo Inc., that agreement prevails over these Terms to the extent of any conflict with respect to the services it covers. In the event you or your users are presented with an akta.pro or Wokelo click-wrap, the contents of any applicable MSA shall supersede any conflicting click-wrap terms.
Supplemental terms or documents posted on the site from time to time are expressly incorporated herein by reference. We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms at any time. We will alert you by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the API after any revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those revised Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. The Services are available to individuals and businesses subject to these Terms. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the API.
The API is not tailored to comply with industry-specific regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), or the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). If your use of the API would be subject to such laws, you may not use the API. The API is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such use would be contrary to law or regulation or which would subject Wokelo Inc. to any registration requirement within such jurisdiction.
"akta.pro Data" means the underlying datasets, indices, structured records, and derived data made available through the API, other than Outputs generated in response to your specific Query Data.
"Documentation" means the technical specifications, usage guides, and API reference materials maintained at akta.pro/docs or such other location as designated by us from time to time.
"Internal business purposes" means your own use of the API and Outputs to support your organisation's internal operations, analysis, and decision-making, and does not include incorporating, displaying, or otherwise making Outputs available to any client, customer, or other third party, except with our prior written consent.
"Personal, non-commercial use" means use of the API by an individual for their own private purposes, not on behalf of, for the benefit of, or in connection with any business, organisation, or commercial activity, and not involving any Output being made available to any other person.
"Outputs" means responses, results, or other content generated or returned by the API.
"Query Data" means prompts, search terms, queries, API inputs, and other content submitted to the API by you, your Authorised Users, or your downstream users.
You represent and warrant that you are not, and are not acting on behalf of any person or entity:

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Wokelo Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the akta.pro API solely for your personal, non-commercial, own internal business purposes and in accordance with the Documentation.
You are solely responsible for the security and confidentiality of your API Keys. You agree to:
We reserve the right to revoke any API Key at any time if we reasonably believe it has been compromised or is being used in violation of these Terms.
By using the API, you represent and warrant that: (1) all registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete; (2) you will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update it as necessary; (3) you have the legal capacity to agree to and comply with these Terms; (4) you are not a minor in your jurisdiction of residence; (5) you will not access the API through automated or non-human means other than as expressly permitted by the Documentation; (6) you will not use the API for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; and (7) your use of the API will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
You agree to keep your credentials confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that it is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
You may use the API solely to build, operate, and maintain applications and workflows for your own personal, non-commercial use , own internal business purposes, in accordance with the Documentation and these Terms.
The following restrictions apply to your use of the API under these Terms. If you have entered into a separate Master Subscription Agreement, or other enterprise written agreement with Wokelo Inc., such agreement may set out different or additional terms specific to your use case, and shall prevail over this Section 4.2 to the extent of any conflict, as set out in Section 1.
You may not, and may not permit any Authorised User or downstream user to:
Wokelo Inc. may agree to different terms regarding attribution, display, caching, or derivative-works rights for Enterprise customers under a separate order form and/or MSA.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations without notice or refund.
Credit pricing is displayed at the point of purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Changes to subscription pricing will be communicated with at least 30 days' prior notice. We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes in pricing, even if we have already requested or received payment, and to refuse any order.
If any amount is not paid by the due date, Wokelo Inc. shall be entitled to the amount due plus interest at 1.5% per month (or the highest permissible rate under applicable law) on all overdue amounts. You shall also pay all reasonable costs of collection, including reasonable attorneys' fees.
If a payment fails, access to the Services will be suspended immediately until the payment is resolved. You remain liable for all charges incurred prior to suspension.
Content returned via the API is sourced from third-party publishers and processed using AI. Wokelo Inc. is not the rights holder of any such content. You acknowledge and agree that:
Enterprise customers may be granted different or additional rights regarding use of content for AI training purposes under a separate written agreement with Wokelo Inc.
Content and outputs returned by the akta.pro API are generated and processed using AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You acknowledge that:
Wokelo Inc. may from time to time make third-party products, data, or services available through or in connection with the akta.pro API ("Third-Party Products"), including third-party AI or machine learning models used to provide or supplement API functionality. Third-Party Products are subject to their own terms and conditions. Wokelo Inc. is not responsible for the operation of any Third-Party Products and makes no warranties with respect to Third-Party Products or their providers. If you do not agree to abide by applicable terms for any Third-Party Products, you should not use those Third-Party Products.
All Wokelo Inc. software, platform, models, documentation, trademarks, source code, databases, functionality, website designs, and content (collectively, the "Content") and all trademarks, service marks, and logos (the "Marks"), including the akta.pro name and brand, are owned or controlled by Wokelo Inc. or licensed to it. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership interest in Wokelo Inc.'s intellectual property to you. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
The Content and Marks are provided "AS IS" for your information and use only. Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, no part of the API, Content, or Marks may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express prior written permission.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, comments, or other input regarding the API, you grant Wokelo Inc. a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use that feedback for any purpose, including to improve the API, without any obligation to compensate you. All such feedback becomes the sole property of Wokelo Inc.
Wokelo Inc. may collect and process usage data generated by your use of the API (such as request volumes, latency, error rates, and feature usage patterns) to operate, monitor, secure, and improve the API. As between Wokelo Inc. and you, all right, title, and interest in such usage data is owned solely by Wokelo Inc. Usage data does not include the content of your Inputs or Outputs.
Wokelo Inc. may make beta products, services, or features ("Beta Features") available to you from time to time at no charge, for evaluation purposes only. Beta Features are not part of the API Services and do not come with support. We reserve the right to discontinue Beta Features at any time, and Beta Features will automatically terminate when made generally available.
You acknowledge that: (i) Beta Features are experimental and have not been fully tested; (ii) Beta Features may not meet your requirements; (iii) use may not be uninterrupted or error-free; (iv) your use is for evaluation and testing and you agree to provide feedback; and (v) you will inform your Authorised Users of the nature of Beta Features. Where Beta Features are provided on a confidential basis, you will hold all related information in strict confidence and not disclose it to any unauthorised third party without our prior written consent.
Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms, all Beta Features are provided "as-is" and "as-available," without warranties or indemnities of any kind. You hereby waive any and all claims, now known or later discovered, that you may have against Wokelo Inc. and its suppliers and licensors arising out of your use of Beta Features.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the API and all Services are provided "as is," with all faults, and without warranties of any kind. Wokelo Inc. expressly disclaims all other warranties, express and implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, quiet enjoyment, quality of information, title, non-infringement, and fitness for a particular purpose. Wokelo Inc. does not warrant that the API will operate uninterrupted or error-free, that outputs will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose, or that the API is free from security vulnerabilities. No oral or written information or advice given by Wokelo Inc. or its representatives shall create a warranty or increase the scope of any warranty provided herein.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, our disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Wokelo Inc. and its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Wokelo Inc.'s total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the akta.pro API is capped at the total fees paid by you to Wokelo Inc. for the API in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the first event giving rise to the claim. These limitations shall not apply to the parties' indemnification obligations, your payment obligations, or infringement of Wokelo Inc.'s intellectual property rights.
In no event will Wokelo Inc. be liable for any loss of profits, sales, business, or data, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of goodwill or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages and under any theory of liability.
Some jurisdictions do not permit limitation or exclusion of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
The parties hereby waive trial by jury in any action, proceeding, or counterclaim brought by either party against the other on any matters whatsoever arising out of or in any way related to these Terms or the akta.pro API.
No action arising out of these Terms may be brought by either party more than one (1) year after such cause of action accrues.
These Terms commence on the date you first access the API or purchase credits, and remain in effect until terminated.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if: (i) you breach any material provision of these Terms and fail to cure within 30 days of written notice; (ii) we reasonably believe your use poses a security or legal risk; (iii) your ability to make payments is impaired or you fail to pay within 10 days of notice; or (iv) you become insolvent, make an assignment for the benefit of creditors, or become subject to bankruptcy or reorganisation proceedings. We may terminate for any other reason upon 30 days' written notice.
We may also suspend access without notice: (i) to prevent damage to or degradation of the API or our systems; (ii) to comply with any law, regulation, court order, or governmental request; or (iii) to protect Wokelo Inc. from legal liability. Any suspension will be to the minimum extent and minimum duration required.
Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17 survive termination of these Terms.
Each party ("Recipient") agrees to keep confidential all non-public information disclosed by the other party ("Discloser") that is designated as confidential or that the Recipient should reasonably understand to be confidential ("Confidential Information"). Confidential Information excludes information that: (a) is or becomes publicly known other than through the Recipient's breach; (b) was already known to the Recipient at disclosure; (c) is independently developed without use of the Discloser's Confidential Information; or (d) is received from a third party without restriction.
The Recipient may disclose Confidential Information only to employees, contractors, and advisors who need to know it and are bound by obligations at least as protective as this Section. The Recipient may also disclose as required by law, provided it gives the Discloser reasonable prior notice where permitted. Each party acknowledges that breach may cause irreparable harm entitling the non-breaching party to seek equitable relief without bond or proof of damages.
We may modify these Terms at any time by updating the date above. Material changes will be communicated directly by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the API following the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree, you must cease using the API. Pricing changes follow the notice requirements in Section 5.1.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Seattle, Washington. Each party consents to such jurisdiction and waives all defences of lack of personal jurisdiction and forum non conveniens. Wokelo Inc. may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its IP, confidential information, or other rights. All claims must be brought within one (1) year of the cause of action arising.
You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable export and import laws, regulations, and orders of the United States and other countries. You shall not directly or indirectly export or import the API to any country to which such export or transmission is restricted or prohibited.
Using the API, sending us emails, and completing online forms constitute electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing. You agree to the use of electronic signatures, contracts, orders, and other records.
If any complaint with us is not satisfactorily resolved, California residents may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, California 95834 or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
