Updates: Company Data API (Aug 2026)

We've significantly expanded what akta.pro's company data covers - both in breadth (how many companies, how many fields) and in depth (what those fields actually tell you about a business). Here's what's new.

The largest private company dataset

akta.pro now covers 20M+ companies with 75+ structured fields per company - spanning identity, business model, financials, leadership, product, technology, and more. Private company data has always been harder to get right than public company data: there are no quarterly filings, no mandatory disclosures, no ticker to anchor everything to. This release is the result of substantially deepening that private-company coverage, so the data available on an early stage startup or a legacy company starts to look a lot more like what you'd expect for a public company.

A redesigned enrichment schema

The Company Data API's sections parameter now exposes a much more structured and complete picture of a company. Instead of a handful of broad buckets, you can now request exactly the slice of a company's profile you need:

  • firmographic: core identity, from legal name and website to founded year, operating status, and headcount
  • business_model: how the company goes to market and makes money, including revenue model, marketing and distribution channels, and pricing structure
  • company_assessment: a narrative read on the business, covering strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks
  • trust_signal: credibility markers such as compliance certifications, regulatory updates, and awards
  • company_hierarchy: how the company fits into a broader corporate structure, through parent and subsidiary relationships
  • digital_presence: the company's footprint across the web, including traffic, social profiles, app listings, and SEO standing
  • financial_estimate: modeled financial performance, spanning revenue, growth rate, valuation, funding, and profitability
  • location: where the company operates, from headquarters and office locations to the markets it serves
  • management_profile: who's running the company, including the CEO, founders, executives, board members, and their tenure
  • product_offering: what the company sells and why it wins, covering brands, differentiators, functional benefits, and quantifiable outcomes
  • strategic_signal: momentum and direction, captured through scale indicators, partnerships, recent moves, and leadership changes
  • customer_profile: who the company sells to, from target segments to named customers
  • industry: standardized classification, including primary and sub-industry along with NAICS and SIC codes
  • technology: how technical the company is, from its stack and integrations to its AI capability and maturity

For teams doing deal screening, diligence, or account research, two sections are now available on the enterprise tier: funding_detail (rounds, amounts, dates, and investors) and mna_and_investment (acquisitions made, investments made, and acquirers, where applicable).

Every section is requested independently via the sections parameter, so you only pay for and receive the data you actually need. A request for technology alone returns a lean, fast response instead of a full company profile.

Common use cases

  • CRM enrichment on demand: call the API from a webhook or automation to instantly populate Salesforce, HubSpot, or DealCloud records when a new company is added, using firmographic + location + management_profile as the base record
  • Deal screening data pull: request firmographic + financial_estimate + funding_detail + mna_and_investment for a shortlist of targets to build a fast pre-IC data pack
  • Funding intelligence: pull funding_detail and financial_estimate for a set of companies to map raise history, identify stage, and track total capital deployed
  • Competitive and market mapping: use industry, product_offering, and strategic_signal together to compare positioning, differentiators, and recent moves across a peer set
  • Tech stack and AI maturity screening: request technology on its own to assess a company's AI capabilities and core stack without pulling unrelated sections

What this means for your integration

If you're currently using the Company Enrichment API's sections parameter, this is a breaking change worth planning for: several section names have been renamed and reorganized (for example, the old firmographics and headcount sections are now consolidated into firmographic, and funding/acquisitions/investments map onto the new enterprise-tier funding_details and mna_and_investment). Full migration details, including the complete old-to-new section mapping, are in the Company Data API docs and API reference.
