What Design Trade Resources does

Design Trade Resources is a privately-held, trade-only showroom headquartered at 6 Berkley Road, Suite 102, Devon, Pennsylvania, in the historic Main Line area of suburban Philadelphia. Founded in 2016 by interior designer Becky Wein to address the absence of a local trade-only sourcing destination for fabrics and furniture, the company curates and displays collections of fine fabrics, wall coverings and trim, furniture, lighting, rugs, and accessories from more than 90 premium brand partners, including Baker, Hickory Chair, Theodore Alexander, THIBAUT, Sunbrella, Arteriors Home, Hudson Valley Lighting, Loloi, and Matouk Linens, across four product categories: Furniture; Fine Fabrics, Wall Coverings & Trim; Lighting, Rugs & Accessories; and Outdoor.

The business model is sales-led and trade-exclusive: access requires completion of a trade application with Tax ID verification, after which interior designers can source from the curated assortment at unpublicized trade pricing obtained via a dedicated pricing request form. DTR's small staff manages the entire ordering, follow-up, and delivery workflow on behalf of designers, supported by a Designer Welcome Packet and a structured claims process. Distribution is exclusively physical — a single boutique showroom open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with appointment availability; no e-commerce or public retail channel exists. There is no proprietary technology platform disclosed; the website is a marketing and lead-generation layer built on Squarespace, with social media (Instagram) functioning as the primary top-of-funnel channel.

Beyond transactional sourcing, the company invests in community-building through recurring industry programming such as the Architects Series, Meet The Maker Series, and educational workshops, positioning the showroom as a regional gathering point for the Philadelphia Main Line interior design trade. The company remains founder-led, with no disclosed outside investors, parent company, funding rounds, or M&A activity, and operates with a headcount of 11–50 employees.
